A 3-week checklist for your café opening day
Opening a café has a hundred moving parts. The branding is one of the few that is easy to plan, if you do it in the right order. Here is a simple checklist.
Three weeks before
- Fix the name and the logo. Everything else is built on it. If you already have a brand, send us the files now.
- Measure the signboard space. Give the designer exact sizes and a photo of the front of the shop.
Two weeks before
- Finalise the menu. Prices and dish names should not change after it goes to print.
- Approve the designs. Signboard, menu board and menu cards. Printing starts only after you approve.
One week before
- Printing and making. Signboards, stickers, takeaway bags and cups.
- Opening-day posters and Instagram posts. Tell people the date and what is special.
Opening day
- Fitting. Someone should be on site when the signboard and wall graphics go up.
How long should you allow?
Our opening kits need about 3 weeks' notice for a cloud kitchen, 5 for a café and 6 for a dine-in restaurant. Start earlier if you can.
Our restaurant and café opening kits include the logo, a mini brand guide, signage, menu, printing and fitting for one price agreed first.
