7 questions to ask before you hire a stall or event designer

Choosing a designer for a stall, launch or event is easier when you ask the right questions up front. Here are seven.

1. Is the price fixed before work starts? If not, ask what could change it.
2. What exactly is included? Ask for a list: walls, name board, standees, counter, posters.
3. Who does the printing and installation? If you must find a vendor yourself, add that time and cost.
4. How many rounds of changes are included? Two is common. Ask what an extra round costs.
5. How much notice do you need? And what does a rush cost?
6. When do I pay? A part payment up front and the rest before printing is usual.
7. Who owns the final files? You should get the print-ready files after sign-off.

Whoever you choose, get the answers in writing. It takes five minutes and saves arguments later.
