This page explains, in plain words, what personal details we collect when you use ducksoup.in, why we collect them, who else handles them, how long we keep them, and what you can ask us to do. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are
Ducksoup Creatives and Events, Bengaluru, India (GST number 29KFUPS4019Q1Z1). On this page, "we" and "us" mean this business. For anything about your details, write to support@ducksoup.in.
What we collect, and why
| Where | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|

| Newsletter sign-up | Your email address | To send you a short tip once a month. You can leave at any time. |
| Booking a call | Your name, email and chosen time | To hold the call. Calendly handles the booking. |
| When you become a client | Business name, contact person, email, phone, project notes, job details, price and invoices | To do the work, send invoices and keep our accounts |
| Client portal (when live) | Your email for the login link, and the design files we share with you | So you can see where your job is and download your files |
| Our team (when live) | Name, email and role | To give our team access to the back office |
| Visitor tracking (when live, only if you accept) | Pages viewed, time on a page, clicks and your rough region | To see which pages help people, and to improve the site |
We only ask for what we need. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for anything other than what is written here unless we ask you first.
Who else handles your details
We use a few other services. Each one handles only what its job needs.
- Web3Forms carries what you type into our forms and emails it to our team mailbox.
- Calendly runs our call-booking calendar.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and forwards our email. Like any web host, it sees technical details of each visit, such as your IP address and rough location.
- Supabase stores client records, logins and files for our back office and client portal (when live).
- Google Fonts supplies the typeface of this website, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
- WhatsApp opens when you tap a WhatsApp button. After that, WhatsApp's own policy applies.
Some of these services keep data on servers outside India. We also share details when the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
The website saves one small setting in your browser: whether you chose light or dark mode. It holds no personal details.
We plan to add our own visitor tracking (when live). It stays off until you press Accept on the banner at the bottom of the page. If you press Decline, nothing is tracked. You can change your mind at any time with Tracking choices in the footer.
How long we keep things
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Enquiries and call requests | 1 year after our last contact, unless you become a client |
| Client details, job records and design files | 2 years after your last job ends. Before we delete files, we ask you to download them. |
| Invoices and tax (GST) records | 8 years, because tax rules require it |
| Visitor tracking data | Up to 12 months |
| Team logins | Deleted within 30 days after someone leaves |
Your rights
You can write to support@ducksoup.in at any time to:
- ask what details of yours we hold and what we do with them;
- ask us to correct details that are wrong or out of date;
- ask us to delete your details (we may have to keep invoices for tax reasons);
- take back a consent you gave, such as for the newsletter or tracking;
- name another person to act for you if you are unable to;

We reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Keeping your details safe
Client files are private. Only you and our team can open them, using links that expire. Team logins are protected by passwords, and client logins use a one-click link sent to your email. No online system is perfectly safe. If your details are ever put at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.
Changes to this page
When we add a tool or change how we use your details, we update this page and its date. Our Terms and Conditions explain how we work with clients.
